Change

This week, I cut my hair off.

I’m donating it so that a wig can be made for someone who has lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

Cancer requires change.

This hair cut was one of the many changes that I have made in the past 5 months. It has always been a “bucket list” item of mine to cut my hair off and donate it.

Donating my hair so that a wig can be made for a cancer patient while I’m fighting cancer myself is such an unreal feeling and way of giving back to the cancer community.

Losing hair has been a really awful part of my cancer journey. You can’t really prepare yourself for it. I don’t like to share the ugly parts and sides of cancer and cancer treatment but they’re very real. And very hurtful.

I know how much of a toll cancer treatment takes on a person’s appearance and I hope my hair donation can help make someone else feel beautiful!

I had an amazing hair stylist who made me feel beautiful, which I am so thankful for, and I am so happy with how it turned out! #IFeelLikeTaylorSwift

  5. I have learned how difficult it is to wait for God to answer. I have also learned that He does answer our needs.
