Uncertainty & Anxiety

Being diagnosed with cancer was the most overwhelming level of uncertainty and anxiety I have ever faced or experienced. Now I’m in a season where I’m feeling overwhelming uncertainty and anxiety as I move into the next chapter of my life.

I was watching a sermon by Pastor Brian Johnson of Bethel Church on his struggle with anxiety and overcoming it.

Brian says: “Consider it a gift when you face a circumstance where God is the only answer. Consider it a gift because most people never get to experience a level of pain deep enough where God becomes their only hope and answer…Consider it a gift when you’re at your end and God is your only answer, lucky for you. You’re going to enter into a time of deep surrender and healing…”

You can watch the whole video here.

Brian’s sermon was a moment of revelation. I hope it can be that for you too no matter what it is that you’re facing right now. I would also suggest reading the book “The Anxious Christian” by Rhett Smith if you have ever struggled with anxiety.

I’m at a point right now where I have so many dreams and options and possibilities but all of these dreams and options and possibilities are uncertainties which are causing so much anxiety and pressure.

Thanks for reading my thoughts. Know that God can ease your worries and anxieties. Cling to Him.

  1. I have a great faith in God and I believe He is always there for you. I am sure He gets tired of me at times because I really rely upon Him and He has been good to me. Keep the faith!!!! He loves you during the good and bad times. I don’t know what I would do without His Love. God love you.
