This week I started off with a diagnosis of strep throat. Strep throat is going around this time of year and I am still immunosuppressed, of course not like I was while on chemo, but my immune system wasn’t able to fight this bug as much. I saw my family doctor on Monday and she gave me antibiotics which started to help and work very quickly and I’m thankful.

Thanksgiving is this weekend in Canada and I’m feeling thankful this year for so many things. I am so thankful that I made it through a year of Interferon treatment. I am grateful for the growth that occurred through the season of receiving chemotherapy. I am blessed to be here, to be alive, and to have air in my lungs.

I am thankful for chemotherapy, health care, good friends, routine, normalcy, working, coffee, pumpkin spice everything, flowers, God’s faithfulness, and love (and so so much more).

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all enjoy time with your family and enjoy eating everything pumpkin!
