This week I started off with a diagnosis of strep throat. Strep throat is going around this time of year and I am still immunosuppressed, of course not like I was while on chemo, but my immune system wasn’t able to fight this bug as much. I saw my family doctor on Monday and she gave me antibiotics which started to help and work very quickly and I’m thankful. Justin got a head cold which I feel like I have also had this week but we are both on the mend!

Thanksgiving is this weekend in Canada and I’m feeling thankful this year for so many things. I am so thankful that I made it through a year of Interferon treatment. I am grateful for the growth that occurred through the season of receiving chemotherapy. I am blessed to be here, to be alive, and to have air in my lungs.

I am thankful for chemotherapy, health care, good friends, routine, normalcy, working, coffee, pumpkin spice everything, flowers, God’s faithfulness, and love (and so so much more).

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all enjoy time with your family and enjoy eating everything pumpkin!
